Miguel: I just wandered over to our IGN colleague Jason Ocampo's desk, and noticed he was almost done with his racial pairing's chapter five. He's a level lower than me, and I've just barely finished chapter three. I guess he hasn't been PvPing much. Frankly, I probably could have gone from level 1 through 12 without grinding a single quest mob. It probably wouldn't have been the ideal course, but it certainly feels like it would have been a viable one.
This is precisely why I'm starting to get hooked on Warhammer. The more I experience, the more I feel Mythic seems to have understated the game's more mundane PvE elements. Quests are basically idiot-proof. You get one from an NPC and a big red circle appears on your map, indicating where the objectives lie. You can even complete some by accident: Just go to a public quest hub near one of your other objectives and join a public raid. Before you know it errant party members will start killing quest mobs for you, garnering you full credit.
In my opinion, this all amounts to a tacit admission from Mythic that PvP is where WAR's heart is. Just as advertised. I guess I never quite bought it, though.
PvE so far feels like an afterthought, though I'll grant that I haven't gotten anywhere near the game's answer to instanced dungeons, let alone raid-style content. Is that stuff in here to any meaningful degree?
